Weird As It Is
Weird things keep happening and things are getting weirder by the week.
A developer in Tasmania, Australia is turning an old morgue at the abandoned Royal Derwent psychiatric facility into a motel. Coming complete with pullout fridges for beds, the developer is hoping guests will also appreciate sleeping on the former autopsy table.
Bet he would be great at parties.
Meanwhile a UK poll showed that the times if not the tyres are a changing. Young British males are now more likely to be capable cooks than to know how to change a tyre. While only 17% know how to put a new wheel back on, 70% of young men at least know how to bake a nice cake.
As odd as that may seem, a weird insurance claim made by a British farmer from Devon has definitely raised an eyebrow or two when he lost his iPhone inside a cow. Having his smartphone handy, the farmer used the phone’s torch app for light while helping to deliver a calf in the dark. Somehow, the smartphone ended up inside the cow's rear and, somewhat mysteriously, has never been seen again.
Meanwhile, airport baggage handlers in Melbourne, Australia managed to capture a crocodile inside a plane after it had escaped its cage on a Qantas flight from Brisbane. Having broken out mid flight to roam through the cargo hold, the unexpected release of the medium sized beast (a mere 9 feet long) resulted in the baggage handlers taking more care than usual.
And, finally, back in Britain, twenty-eight year old barmaid, Emma-Louise Hodges, pulled all stops out to make a weird name for herself. Yep, she has officially changed her name by Deed Poll to include the titles of 14 of the James Bond movie girls. Emma is now formally known as, “Miss Pussy Galore Honey Rider Solitaire Plenty O'Toole May Day Xenia Onatopp Holly Goodhead Tiffany Case Kissy Suzuki Mary Goodnight Jinx Johnson Octopussy Domino Moneypenny.”
Can you imagine how weird it will be when someone has to call her name out in a medical waiting room?
